I just can't get it to work from behind my work firewall. Again, Digsby works for Google & Yahoo IM & Gmail but no Twitter love at work either. Probably some of the ports used by it are blocked. Now, that's on Linux and for an average Windows user we know how much a software being 'Open Source' really means to them. Not a whole lot. (coming from a person who <a href="http://www.shankrila.com/tech-stuff/free-high-quality-open-source-software-in-one-disc-opendisc/" rel="nofollow">loves and promotes open source</a> as much as he can) But, on Windows Vista (my wife's laptop) I've to admit Digsby looks really slick and the way I can archive, spam, mark as read, delete, compose or go to inbox right from the notification bar is priceless. I know of one person who can not run Digsby due to Linux. Are there any advantages over Pidgin? Pidgin supports Linux and Mac OSX (unlike Digsby) and seems to support everything Digsby does. It's not open source either, which is a major turn-off.
