The Non Blogger

I guess that is what I am, the Non Blogger. I sat down early Saturday morning with the intention of catching up my blogs and doing some writing.

So what happened?

Someone emailed me and confirmed an idea I already was thinking about, and that sent me on a 2 day programming project, lol. So here it is Sunday night, the WordPress Plugin and WordPress Theme  I was working  on all weekend are done, but I did not get any of my blogging caught up.

For me, it comes down to enjoying the developing side of the blogs and sites more than the writing side, but that sure makes it hard to keep a site up to date.

  1. I have a similar problem. I prefer many other aspects of running an online business over strictly writing. It’s why I am getting away from blogging more and focusing on other things to make money.

I know exactly how you feel David, it’s the same for me, although I’m not a programmer. I often preferr to integrate the last available plugin, or tweaking the theme with a small feauture rather than writing a new post, although I’ve in mind a lot of things to share…

Maybe it has to do with the fact that I’m a maintenance engineer: I’m to used to fix machines LOL

P.S. you have an open anchor tag in the comments: the whole comment text is a link.

  3. I’ve been battling the very same issue…code or blog or both. It’s certainly a hard issue when you have a passion for both.

If you help others through blogging because you know what you’re doing on the backend, I’d say that’s an accomplishment and a credit to yourself, and definitely a service to those that don’t understand the techie parts.

  4. It’s nice to know I am not alone in this. I keep plugging away at the blogs, but, the programming is a natural place for me to go.
